We support charities and not for profits.

Antigone Grants

Antigone is set up to give grants to registered charities.

We give a small number of grants each year, about 6 in total.

We are interested in helping charities think through how they use web and mobile technologies.

We put up news of success stories on this site - contact us if you have a story to tell.

Applying For Support

The next grant meeting will be towards the end of summer, there will be a simple application form up then.

In meantime, we are always interested in hearing about interesting work and share ideas.  If you want to talk to us please contact by phone or email.

We have a growing network, and if we can’t help you ourselves, we will try to put you in contact with someone who can.

You can find out about other foundations who fund in this area at Directory of Social Change.

Changes We Want to Help Create In Society

To create better options than reoffending for people leaving prison

To inspire more young people to learn and get skills that help them

To make healthcare more patient focussed

What We Do To Achieve These Changes

We give small grants to charities and not for profit organisations

We work with a small number of charities each year, learning more about the needs of socially excluded people

We promote their successes to ministers and the press.

We see ourselves as working in alliance with a number of other funders, organisations and people to make these changes happen

We promote the needs of philanthropy and activism in these areas which are currrently unfashionable and underfunded.

Decisions About Grants

We look for projects that...

  • Can show that they are improving people's lives
  • Are managed by inspired and dedicated people
  • Have ambitions for developing their work on a bigger scale

Decisions about grants are made at board meetings held by trustees at their discretion.

They have some experience in internet, anthropology, tv, communications, law, business and running charities and foundations.
